Hello hello hello! I know, it has been a long minute since you've heard from me but I wanted to give ya'll an update on what has been going on in my musical world along with some behind the scenes goss!
As everyone probably knows, my plans took a little detour a few months ago which forced me to be flexible and throw caution to the wind and wing it, and boy am I happy with how these months have turned out - who would've thought!
I have spent the last few months growing my music craft along with being incredibly lucky to get to spend time writing and working with some awesome people between Australia and USA. After collating a great bunch of songs, the tricky choice had to be made to decide which songs I would then jump in the studio to record.
The plan originally was to record in Nashville in March but after discussions with my producer we were able to keep to this plan (once it was Covid-19 safe to do so) and still get the same musicians booked back in March to jump in the studio and record the band tracks while we watched via a video link! How good is technology!! This called for an early start a couple of weeks ago where the session was 2pm Nashville time, equalling 5am in Melbourne.
Then with restrictions easing I was able to jump in the car last week for a road trip up to the sunny NSW Central Coast where I got to put my vocals down on my project - I am so proud and excited with how it is all sounding!
As well as my time in the studio, I have shot some other exciting things to go into this project which will be rolled out soon! I can't wait to share more details in the coming weeks/months and most importantly get some music to your ears and hearts. In the meantime, I'll be hustling!
