7 Weeks Later...

Updated: May 4, 2020

Hello there! It has been a moment or two since I last wrote a blog, funnily enough time seems to be flying by at the moment - I never thought I would say that about #isolife!

It's crazy how it has already been 7 weeks since I was meant to leave on my Nashville trip! My plans did change but I have to say these past weeks have been a breath of fresh country music air. Even with challenges, musically my time has felt well spent better than ever!

For anyone who doesn't know, I took the plunge and left my full time job at the end of February to go into 100% full time music, which strangely enough even with the Corona situation, it hasn't stopped me from doing this.

I feel incredibly grateful for the people around me who have been hands on with keeping my goals moving during this time to ensure we move past any speed bumps that come along, with the hope of sharing exciting news in the coming months.

Songs I Wish I Wrote

The gorgeous Gina Jeffreys got me thinking a couple of weeks ago about what songs I love so much that I wish I had written them. You know, songs that hit you right in the feels. I thought I'd share 12 of them with you (even though there are many more) and hopefully you'll love them too, maybe even add them to your playlist!

What If I Never Get Over You by Lady Antebellum

Humble and Kind by Tim McGraw

Drinking Problem by Midland

Missing You by John Waite

Falling Slowly by Glen Hansard

All Too Well by Taylor Swift

More Hearts Than Mine by Ingrid Andress

9 to 5 by Dolly Parton

Poison & Wine by The Civil Wars

Girl Crush by Little Big Town

Halo by Beyonce

Tennessee Whiskey version by Chris Stapleton

I hope ya'll are keeping well, happy and safe during these wild times. We will come out the other side stronger. For me, life has a new meaning and it's amazing how all of a sudden priorities have readjusted. I also can't stop cooking and eating so I better get onto more home workouts, you know for #balance HAHA signing off to go bake more bread x
